We're opening a new office in N. Macedonia and looking for a Tech Lead to help build and lead our engineering team from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction and culture of a new team while working on a product with real impact.

π·What you will do?
Technical Leadership
- Define and drive the technical vision for our frontend applications
- Make key architectural decisions and ensure code quality across the team
- Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, and development workflows
- Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and design sessions
- Identify and address technical debt while balancing feature delivery
- Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new technologies
Team Leadership
- Mentor and grow a team of frontend developers
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Participate in hiring β reviewing candidates, conducting interviews, building the team
- Work closely with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Shield the team from distractions while keeping them aligned with company goals
Hands-On Development
- Remain hands-on β we expect our Tech Leads to code (approximately 50-60% of your time)
- Tackle the most complex technical challenges alongside your team
- Build proof-of-concepts and prototypes for new features
- Contribute to our shared component library and design system
π·What we are looking for?
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years working extensively with React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or similar)
- Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend architecture
- Strong experience with state management (Redux, RTK Query, or alternatives)
- Proven track record of mentoring developers and improving team performance
- Experience designing and implementing scalable frontend architectures
- Excellent communication skills β able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative development
πΆ Nice to Have
- React Native experience β mobile development is part of our roadmap
- Experience with design systems and component libraries (shadcn/ui, Radix UI)
- Knowledge of performance optimization and monitoring
- Experience with testing strategies at scale (unit, integration, E2E)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Experience building teams from scratch or in early-stage companies
- Understanding of backend technologies (Node.js, APIs) to collaborate effectively
