This time we're looking for someone senior: someone who knows HR from the inside, has lived through real payroll runs, organisational changes, and compliance deadlines, and can turn that experience into software that thousands of people use every day. You'll be the HR domain authority behind Abysalto People - our HR platform with Employee and Manager Self-Service portals - shaping what we build, not just documenting it.

🔷 What will you do?
- Own the HR domain end-to-end: analyze client requirements, propose solutions, and determine the organizational and technological implications for our HR business information system
- Shape the product: work with Product and Engineering to define and prioritize the Abysalto People roadmap, challenge requirements, and make sure what we build reflects how HR actually works
- Translate HR processes and Croatian labour legislation into clear, implementable specifications and business rules
- Lead discovery workshops and fit-gap analyses with clients, and act as the trusted advisor within their business domain
- Drive pre-sales: lead product demos, respond to RFPs and tenders, scope solutions and estimate effort and timelines with confidence
- Own key client relationships through delivery — from kickoff to go-live and beyond — and bring user feedback back into the team
- Mentor and grow other consultants: review their specifications, share domain knowledge, and help shape how our consulting practice works
- Take part in maintaining and upgrading implemented solutions, and test the application after changes are implemented
- Deliver external and internal training, and take part in onboarding new colleagues
- Monitor technology trends and legal changes in your area of expertise, and proactively bring them into the product before clients have to ask
- Deliver in line with project requirements, deadlines and your project role, following our project methodology (management, documentation, training, reporting, testing, customization, resource management)
- Report regularly to your direct supervisor on work progress and results
🔷 What do we expect from you?
- 5+ years of experience in HR — as an HR Solutions Consultant, HRIS/HCM consultant, HR business analyst, or in an in-house HR role with strong process ownership
- Deep, practical knowledge of core HR processes: employee lifecycle, organizational structures, time and attendance, absence management, performance, and their connection to payroll
- Solid working knowledge of Croatian labour law and related compliance requirements, and a track record of translating regulation into working processes or systems
- Proven experience gathering requirements and writing clear specifications that developers can build from
- Experience working directly with clients — running workshops, managing expectations, and handling difficult conversations
- An analytical mind with strong problem-solving abilities, and the judgment to know when to standardize and when to customize
- Excellent knowledge of English and Croatian, written and spoken
- A team player who takes ownership and is comfortable mentoring others
🔷 Bonus if you have:
- Experience in HR software development — working inside a product or implementation team on an HRIS, HCM or payroll solution (a strong plus)
- Experience with agile delivery and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira; comfort writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- HR processes in larger corporations or multi-country environments
- Knowledge of payroll rules and integrations with payroll or ERP systems
- HR certifications, or formal training in business analysis or consulting
- Strong presentation skills and experience in pre-sales or tender processes
